Our services

We advise and coach companies to identify and select members of both top and middle management and specialists. Our clients benefit from our extensive in-depth knowledge of the market for executives, our broad relational network as well as our expertise in the selection process and the analysis of each candidate's potential.

Our services include the definition of the job and of the ideal candidate profile, the analysis of the environment within the company, the definition of the search strategy, the identification of potential candidates and their evaluation, interviews on the client's premises as well as the additional complementary steps required such as gathering and checking references. The client receives a written report on both the interesting candidates and the candidate who is selected.

We seek to provide the two partners, that is to say the candidate and the company, with the means and the information required to make a conscious and rational choice and arrive at a final decision with full knowledge of the facts involved.

Coaching in the recruitment and selection process

For companies who choose this option, we adapt our services to the client's particular requirements. For example, we can offer our services to coach a board of directors or an executive committee in charge of the recruitment. We can help them in the selection and decision-making process or make individual assessments of the last remaining candidates prior to making the final decision.

Our terms and conditions

In general, we only work on the basis of an exclusive mandate. Our fees take into account the complexity and difficulties associated with the particular search. We also take into consideration the current conditions prevailing in the market.

Because we prefer not to create a direct link between the compensation of the recruited candidate and the level of our fees, the latter are fixed on an all-inclusive basis and not as a percentage of the salary. In principle, we differentiate between different levels of fees based on the level of complexity and difficulty of the search. When we carry out a search for a team, the fees are adapted by taking into consideration the same criterias.

Our fees are finalised prior to the start of the mandate and after the job profile and the details of the search procedure have been defined. Payment of the fees takes place in the following manner: 1/3 payable upon confirmation of the mandate, 1/3 around six weeks after this date (by presenting to the client the short list of the potential candidates) and 1/3 when the employment contract is signed by the recruited candidate.

The client has the possibility of interrupting the search at any time. In such cases, only those fees already paid or those provided for according to the agreed terms and conditions remain payable. If the client decides to modify the job profile noticeably during the search, this corresponds to the beginning of a new search assignment.

Finally, we undertake to accompany the candidate chosen during the first six months of his or her new activity in order to verify his or her integration into the job. At the end of this period, we make an evaluation of the situation with both the person and the company.

Our clients have a six month guarantee. If the person recruited by the company should leave during the first six months for reasons other than a professional error or of an economic nature, we undertake to begin a new search without any additional expenses or costs for the client.

Our fees cover all expenses, with the exception of special expenses (such as those for advertisements, air travel or hotel expenses incurred abroad) which are invoiced separately to the client.

Other applications

Whenever a company signs a search mandate with us, it implicitly accepts that applications for the job it receives from a source other than BGMP – Benno Gartenmann Management Partner, will be transmitted to our firm for examination and processing in the same manner as the other applications.

Selected applications (by opportunity)

It is possible that we propose selected applications to our clients when we have an in-depth and detailed knowledge of their requirements and their environment. All candidates proposed in this manner have been through an in-depth evaluation process and are interested in changing their job. If the client recruits the person, our fees are charged at a rate of between 25 to 30%. The fees are calculated on the basis of the global annual compensation as stipulated in the contract.
